Rehab
A long long long time ago, someone created this running blog. Shortly thereafter, that same someone did not complete a goal in his life. Yes, that was me. I had a good reason to stop, temporarily. I hurt my ankle and could not run. It still causes me pain over 3 months later. I have committed to rehabing this ankle in efforts to complete my half marathon. I made it halfway through my training and I was in good shape. I will not lose! The trail continues...

A Dilemna
Its been quite a while since I've posted anything. Honestly, its been quite a while since I've run as well. I haven't found the time nor have I looked for the time to run. Its because I've been disappointed with my runs recently. It just seems like things are not going as planned out. I was ahead of schedule and doing fine but I took some time off and lost focus completely. In the loss of focus, I decided to play basketball. The reason why I did not want to play ball is not because of my lack of love for the game. It was a fear of injury. Of course, I picked up a nice ankle injury to sideline me for a little bit longer. I haven't really done much in the way of physical activity since I hurt my ankle and I am nervous about starting to run again. The ankle is still swollen and a bit sore. I am still determined to finish this thing. I must focus. The Trail Continues....

getting back
I unfortunately took a break from life last week. It was great but unfortunate all at the same time. I was moving all week and cleaning up my life. I got rid of a bunch of stuff. I did not run at ALL last week. So with that being said, I took my first run in 9 days after work yesterday. It was something else. I did not move as fluidly as I could've but I definitely enjoyed my time on the pavement. It was just what the doctor ordered. After finishing I felt pretty good. I still have to get my motivation back and get better. It will happen. The trail continues....

6!
I am so excited! I am almost halfway there! I made a big step this weekend and ran 6 miles. It was a great day for running. I ran on the greenway up the same 4.9 mile route that I ran last week and back past my starting point. I got to the end of the path and turned back around. The route is scenic and this weekend it was lined with bikers. There evidently was an off road bike race. The bikers were nice and most spoke when they passed. The weather was about 75 degrees and perfect. I could not have asked for a better run. My time was about 1:07. I definitely need to improve that. I think the best thing for me to do now is to take this time and improve my pace. I am far ahead of schedule as far as my running distance is concerned. I should be ready to go almost 5 weeks ahead of the run. Its been pretty cool testing my limits, setting goals and standards, and acheiving them. I am definitely ready to continue to make this happen. The trail continues...
